the Albatross projects:

“Instead of the cross, the Albatross, About my neck was hung”

These pieces of plastic were collected from dead albatross carcasses. The birds consume pieces of floating debris, mistaking it for food. When albatrosses decay, the plastic that caused their demise can be collected. Throughout this series of work, inspired by the Rime of the Ancient Mariner, my intentions were to reverse the devastation of the albatross, and nature in general, back onto man, via myself.
